Magnescale® (formerly SONY Precision Technology) scales consist ​​of a rigid profile with integrated magnetic tape on which a movable reading head is mounted. When shifting from registered magnetic pulses, this high precision sensor generates an incremental output signal which corresponds to the RS422 standard.
