Introducing Riftek Disc Brake Profile Gauge IKD 2017 Model

Applied Measurement Australia Pty Ltd announces that Riftek has released its new Disc Brake Profile Gauge IKD 2017 Model. The PDA based handheld instruments are employed for laser scanning and measurement of brake disks wear parameters. The devices are supplied with database and software package for disk wear data storage and processing. The disk brake profile gauge comes in two types:

IKD-Wheel Mounted – Profilometer for measuring parameters of the disk brakes installed on the wheel (Type 1).

IKD- Axle Mounted – Profilometer for measuring parameters of the disk brakes installed on the wheelset axle (Type 2).

The disk brake profilers are easily mounted and operated. The operator simply mounts the laser scanning module onto the wheel. Having received a command from PDA or PC, the laser module performs non-contact scanning of the disc surface. Measurement results (geometric parameters and profile of the surface) are displayed on PDA, can be saved in the PDA memory, and transferred to the PC database. Simultaneously, additional parameters can be saved.
